Portarlington Grand Hotel

“Yesterday the 18th of April, we celebrated my father’s 86th birthday at The Grand Hotel Portarlington, surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. We have been there many a time and this time lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. A very special mention to the amazing staff of Izzy, Amanda, Steve, Pauly, and Tyson. Every one of them went out of their way to make sure the day ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attitude set the tone for the whole event. I made sure to personally pass this on directly to the Manager as well. The setting only added to the experience. Post lunch we moved to the famous front steps of The Grand, where we were lucky to have a perfect sunny autumn afternoon, sitting back with a few beautiful reds as the sun dropped, soaking in the warmth and atmosphere before heading off on the Port Phillip Ferry to Docklands. A memorable day for our family, and a venue I’d recommend without hesitation. Thanks to all and we will be back!”

“We stopped in to have lunch today, we had cauliflower popcorn which was one of the best we have had anywhere ! The meatlovers pizza was tasty, perfectly cooked base and meat selection was delicious. The mussel pot was also awesome, pleanty of juicy flavoured perfectly, muscles. Staff were helpful friendly and efficient. We were more than happy with our visit here. Well done to all”

“I enjoyed fantastic hospitality at the PGH over the Celtic Folk Festival weekend. Found the staff to be very friendly and fun, good drinks, reasonable prices. The rooms are beautifully renovated, comfy bed good showers. Lovely wine bar down the road - Pop and right across the road from the bay and parks.”
